Monday Monday la la.. la la lala

Monday's have Never been My favorite day of the week. I know I'm not alone in that.. lol.. But I have a rule (that I mostly follow) that I clean all week and then on Saturday and Sunday I just relax or do crafts or spend time with family or friends.. Soooooo, When Monday comes I usually have a lot of dishes to do, trash to empty and anything else that might have come up during the weekend. 
But I guess it's worth it to have two care free days.. :)

I know everyone says to spend as much time with your parents as you can while they are living because you will miss them when they are gone.. Well, I did spend as much time with them as I could. It wasn't always an easy task.. But we all had a very strange relationship.. Anyway, It's been 2 years this last Feb. That my mom passed and it's been only 2 months since my dad has passed.  
I took Mom's passing pretty well because she fought lung cancer for over 8 years... So when she passed I felt she did all she could and suffered more than enough for one person. So it was a release to see her go and be free from pain and all the trouble breathing.. 
My Dad on the other hand, Had some trouble breathing but seemed to be holding his own until the Dr. told him he should have a heart valve replacement. The Dr. told him it would help his breathing a lot. So, Dad decided to do it. Well, guess they had to end up putting 2 replacement valves on dad's heart. And Sad to say, I don't know if it was the Dr's or Dad's understanding of what they were telling him, but 2 different times he just Stopped taking the meds he was givin. He said the Dr. told him to. I find that so hard to believe because No Dr. ever tells you to stop medication all at once.. Especially if it is for your heart or you have been on it a while.. He went thru some really bad swelling sessions too.. I just know the last time he stopped taking all of them at once he didn't live thru it.. He made it about 2 days.. I just wonder if he wasn't understanding things well because of how he was feeling.. :(   
No matter, It was just sudden and unexpected.. So Now I'm dealing with a Life ins. company that keeps wanting more and more info.. I have given them everything they have asked for, but they continue to want more.. Not really sure where this is going to end, but I have a feeling it will end when they prove that Dad or me messed up somewhere along the line so they don't have to pay us.. 
That makes me sad just because I know Dad did this just so we wouldn't have to worry about his funeral expenses and he could also leave us with a little money to take care of ourselves.. 
But However it turns out, I will take care of his expenses and I will do whatever I have to do to make sure things are done right.. 
I am just really glad I got to see him the week before he passed and give him his Father's day gift and Birthday gift.. :)   

Ok.. Sorry if I am bringing you all down.. Wasn't my intention I swear.. I just needed to get that out I guess and really don't want to share it with my family or friends cause I don't want them feeling sorry for me.. I don't need sympathy at this point.. lol.. I just need the Ins. thing to be done already so I can move on with my life... 

So, Do any of you have art sites, or craft sites to share with me?? I would love to see what you do. :)  I love crafts as much as my art. I love to make things with my hands... I also love to see others talents. :)

Just a Friday in the life of..... Me.. lol

It's Friday and I'm so happy.. :)  Not sure why, cause I have no plans.. But maybe that is why, cause I have no plans..lol

I do know I need to get out to my studio and get it straightened up and organized.. Two things that I think are an ongoing battle when you have any kind of specialty room. Seems I am always collecting things to put in it.. I think I need to stop and create a lot more.. :)

Do any of you go on Pinterest?? I LOVE That site.. I can find so many things I want to try, things I never knew about and idea for inside and outside.. It is truly amazing :)

We had a nice storm move thru today.. I'm so happy cause it's been so hot. Now the Weather people say that this weekend will only be 74 for a high.. Ahhhhhhhhh... That sounds wonderful to me.. :)  I do NOT like heat unless I am in a pool..lol.. 

Well, Not much going on.. Need to get on my other computer so I can share more of my Photo's.. :)

Wow, I really can't believe it's been so long since I wrote anything here.. I guess sometimes life just getting moving a bit faster than I would like..

In the last two years I have lost my mom, and Last month lost my dad. I think I got the chance to mourn my mom, but things have been going too fast and too much has been going on for me to have a chance to mourn My dad.. Just trying to get back to normal.. Well, Our normal anyway..lol..

Still working on my art and fractals.. They keep me grounded and are a great way for me to show feelings I don't have words for.. A lot of the fractals have funny names because that is what I see when I look at them, but doesn't really tell how I feel making them and sharing them.

I'm still drinking my Shakeology, which I don't think I ever wrote about.. But it has saved me from 12 years of torturous pain from Fibromyalgia.. Since I started drinking it a year ago in May, I have been Pain free from the Fibro flares.. I Never thought I would be able to say that again in my life.. All the superfoods and protiens and wonderful things they pack in Shakeology are What feed my body what it needs.. I LOVE this stuff.. Even my husband is drinking it now.. it has really helped him with his GERDS... It took him about half a year to decide to try it.. but Now he loves it.. :)

Summer has been very busy.. I have tried to get out and do as many things with the grandkids as possible.. I think they have had a great time.. Although I am sure Saige's favorite thing is just staying home and swimming each day.. lol.. He has become a little fish I think..lol..

Christmas is Coming!!!

Happy Holidays Everyone,  :)

Are you ready?? I usually am by now but this has been a long stressful, crazy year so I'm still waiting on a few things to be delivered. Then the fun wrapping comes.. I wish my grandkids were older so they could help wrap. They are almost old enough..

I don't know how many people you have to buy for, but I'm going to have to figure out a better way to do the gifts... With adults, kids and grandkids it's a lot of shopping and money. I love them all so much, but my wallet doesn't..lol
I'm thinking after Christmas I better get in my studio and start some drawings for the grandkids for next year.. Then I will hit Pinterest and get some other good idea's of things to make that they will love.
Good plan right?? lol..

I also need to get back on my treadmill. I'm thinking, probably after New Years I need to make a plan for me and a schedule. Seems without that I get things done but I'm all over the place..

I know I said I was going to do another blog here, but seems it depends on which computer I'm on as to which blog comes up for me to write in.. so guess I will just be writing in whichever one comes up..lol. I know I can think of plenty to talk about, no problem.

If you could have Anything in this world for your Christmas Present this year, what you want?  Money is not an issue... Just what would make your perfect gift??

I think if I could have anything it would be for my husbands neck, shoulder and back to be fixed so he can finally be out of pain. He has had this pain for going on 2 year now. He is brave and strong, but I know how much pain he is in and how much it is taking out of him.
I hate to see him suffer and not be able to enjoy his life.
I will keep praying.. He has another Dr. app. this next week.. Hopefully they will figure out a way to do an MRI or something that will show them what they have missed..

Believe it or not, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday the temp. is supposed to be in the 50's. That is crazy. I know Iowa is very unpredictable but we should be having snow, not Spring weather..lol.. Im not complaining but my Son is Law is cause he's going deer hunting this weekend and wants snow..lol

Ok.. I'm done chattering away for now. Please feel free to comment on anything or everything in my post. Please think about the question I asked too.. I would love to know what you perfect Christmas gift would be. :)

Hi Everyone!!!
Sorry it has taken me so long to write anything new here. This has been such a busy year so far and it seems like it should be November already..lol
Although I would hate to Miss Spring Actually coming and staying and the whole summer too.
Tim finally got his neck worked on and fixed. He has been in a neck brace for the last month. He is doing better each day though. I know he can't wait to take that neck brace off for good, but healing time is 3-4 months and he has to wear it for at least another week or so. He is back to work though on light duty. Which means he helps in the office doing time cards or whatever they can find for him to do.
Better than sitting here at home all day long I know that.. :)
I'm so glad they finally figured out the problem so it could be fixed. He suffered for over a year with Severe pain. :(
And of course because Life loves to throw things at you while your hands are already full, I have been sick two different times since his neck surgery. This last time is an aweful cold that I've been fighting and losing for the last two weeks. Every time I think I am getting better the next day I go backwards. :(
Today I haven't been coughing very much at all, but yesterday coughed all day long. Now my back feels like someone punched me in it all day long yesterday.
I so hope this is the end of it and I will start feeling better tomorrow.. I have things to Do Damn it!!!!
I got the drawing done for Victor in Russia.. And I sent it about 2 weeks ago. Now I find out (because the post office didn't tell me) That it only gaurantees it to the Boarder.. After that anything can happen to it. The boarder people can throw it away or keep it, or distroy it or whatever.. Or they can actually let it go on thru to Victor.. So of course I am hoping and praying for the last one.
Now I have thought up my First Ever Art Contest for everyone on my FB and Fractured Moon Studio page on FB...
Starting Monday April 15-April 21 I am having everyone tell me the Strangest thing they think I could draw. Not including people cause I don't draw people.lol
The judges are me, Tim and my Daughter Christal.. although she doesn't know about it yet cause I just posted it to FB in the last hour..
Vee has already started with a blobfish I think she said.. I wrote it down.. I need to look it up also cause I have no clue what it is..lol
So, whoever wins the contest, I will draw that strangest thing... and they get to pick whatever they want me to draw for them, as they win a 14x17 drawing of their choice.
So I think this should be interesting.. :)
I know I always say I need to get here more often and write.. but I think I always have too many things going on at once.. and being sick is NOT helping me to keep up.
But a good friend of mine Saptarshi asked me to please come here and write some things as he is waiting to read it and he had posted remarks to my last post. So you all can thank him that I'm here now..lol
I think that is about all the exciting news for now though.. And I'm getting tired and a bit light headed, so I think I better go lay down..

The New Year 1-20-13

Well so far this New Year is just zippin along. Happy New Year Everyone!!
I hope all is well with you!!

It seems I have been very busy since the New Year started. I have been working on my art
a lot and I'm always busy cleaning our house and taking care of my grandson a couple
times a week also. I am trying to take advantage of the extra time because when Summer
comes I will have him a Whole lot more. :)

Here is a piece of art I did for my friend Kathy. We traded talents and I drew her pet rats for her and she made me a one of a kind Purse, which I Totally LOVE!!

Ok, I guess I won't be uploading any photo's at this time because they changed the way I upload them and now I will have to go thru Picasa to do it. Why can't I just do it from my own computer like I used to??? I Do NOT like this at all :(

Well, they finally (after over a year) figured out that one of the plates in my husbands neck is pinching his spinal cord, which is what has been causing him all this pain for so long. So we see the surgeon on the 31st. I so hope he can tell us it can be fixed and Tim will be out of pain after. I love my husband very much and he is tough, but this pain is really getting to him and changing his personality. :(

Well, Now my husband fixed my old computer and put on a cool little speaker so I can hear video's and stuff and he bought me a brand New computer too, so I can do my 3D art again. :)
He is the best husband in the whole world :)

The 29th of this month my Daughter Christal will be turning 30 years old. That is so hard for me to believe. I still remember when I turned 30. lol
She says when they get done with her sleeve (her tattooed arm) she is going to try to have another baby. Saige is 6 now, so I'm thinking soon would be good..lol

And sadly our son and daughter in law are getting divorced soon too. That changes a lot for them and their daughter Nollie, but really changes nothing for all of us because we love all of them the same. So Nicole will always be my daughter as far as I am concerned. She is so much like me anyway, you would think she was my biological child..lol
As far as Nollie goes.. she is our granddaughter and that obviously will never change. So, even though it makes us sad, they have to do what is right for them to move on and have a happy life.

Yesterday it was 54 degrees here. Today it is 12 and snowing..lol
Iowa is such a strange place to live. You really never know when the weather will change or by how much or when. lol

Ok.. Hope you all are having a good weekend. I need to go work on a drawing I'm doing.

Tues. Nov. 27th,2012 Christmas is Coming

Hi Everyone,
Sorry it's been so long since I last posted something. I was doing good and posting about once a week. Somewhere I got sidetracked. I will try to do better but not promising anything until at least after New Years :)

I hope all of you are doing well and Enjoying getting Ready for Christmas. I know it can be a really stressful time of year, but remember it's not how much something cost, it's how much thought you put into it. And homemade things are always valued over store bought things. At least they are in my family.
We don't care where it came from, the point is you were thinking of us. :)

Saige has gotten much better. I guess it was just growing pains from starting school that was making him into such a little terror. Now he is back to his old self and getting past the temper tantrums and actually starting to have more to say and to talk about if you can believe that. He has never been at a loss for words since he started talking. lol.. Yea I know, he's like his Grandma..lol
Although, Nollie is actually even more talkative than Saige, which I didn't think possible, but her mom gets credit for that not me, so that is at least not on me too..lol

I've been working on my art a lot more lately. I found a really cool site that I post my artwork and they rate you and stuff. So far I've gotten a lot of blue Ribbons and even won 2nd Place in the Halloween Photograph contest! I was so proud because the photo was of Saige and Nollie. They were all dressed up along with their parents, uncle and Aunt and friend to go to the Zombie Walk in Down Town Des Moines.



Now you know what a 4 and 6 year old Zombie looks like. :)  Aren't they

GREAT!!! :)

I love that they like to do so many different things and have fun at such a young age. They are lucky though, they are surrounded by many adults with many different likes and talents and they get to learn all of them :)

The last few days have not been so fun.. Seems everyone in our family is getting the stomach flu.. But luckily it only lasts a couple days and is gone.

I hope that is as bad as it gets this winter. :)

Well, I need to get busy on a commission piece that needs to be done and sent before Christmas so I better get busy. :)

Sunday Sept. 23, 2012- Out of Control

Well, This last week has been really OUT of Control!!!
Seems like the nicer I try to be as a Grandma, the nastier my 5 year old Grandson gets. He Just started Kindergarten this year and now he thinks
when he gets home he is the Boss... I'm so happy that he is being a good kid in school for the teacher but Wow his attitude Has to change soon.
My daughter come over Friday after work (Saige already went home with his dad an hour earlier) to talk to me about Saige because she knows how he has been acting and how much trouble he has been.
So we both agreed we just need to push the rules and give him consequences for hi actions. Which I started last week and she has been doing. But for some reason it came second nature to me with my own kids, but with Saige it is really hard for me. I guess because I'm Grandma I think we are buddies and I don't like to make him mad at me. But, I can't deal with the bossy, pushy child he has turned  into either. So I guess I need to pull out my Mommy skills and use them on him as well.. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Luckily Friday was the last day I have to pick him up from school until this next Thursday. So I asked his Mom to please keep him away the whole 5 days. Maybe it will make him appreciate me a little more. Usually if he's away from me for one day he is asking his mom to bring him over so he can see me. So 5 days is going to seem like a very long time for him...and me too...

Anyway, yesterday I just napped and tried to relax and take care of myself.
Today I am going to spend a lot of time out in my studio doing some form of art, or many.. I just know I need an outlet and that is a good one. :)
Tomorrow I will clean the house.. Such fun..lol

I see I finally have One person signed up to my Blog!! Yea Saptarshi!!!!
I hope I spelled it right or he will tell me about it for sure.. :)
That makes me so happy though. :)

I think this week I am going to get my www.Artwanted.com/Aunita Updated too because I have done a lot of art in the last year and none of it is on my website.. I need to be spending more time taking care of that site, especially since it is the only one I pay for yearly..

Monday Sept.17-2012 I think...

Wow, I'm not sure what is going on these last few days but my usually happy self is NOT happy. I feel like the weight of the world is on my shoulders and I really don't know why.
Yes there have been some changes in my life recently but they are not bad changes, just changes..
I think I am just paying too much attention to all the slandering that is going on with the candidates running for office and all their stupid commercials. Then (God Bless Them) I have friends that are all about our food being poisioned and the ones about the other countries that are out to get us and on and on.. I think I just need to take a break for a while and spend time with me and my family and a few friends. And just concentrate on MY Life.
It may sound selfish but I need to reboot my batteries and get back to being happy. I am always greatful for all that I have and the wonderful people in my life, but right now I feel numb.. And I HATE that feeling. On top of it I feel Irritated very badly. I didn't think I was showing any of it outwardly but I guess I am because my husband said he could tell...
Of course, he pays closer attention to me than most..lol

My husband has been making Frames for my Artwork. I love the wood frames and the fact that he is making them himself. :)  I think it makes my art look so much better.
Here are the raccoon and the giraffes in their new frames. Sorry about any glare, it's hard to get around it with all the lights I have in my studio..



We have framed about 7 of them now. I have about 5 of them hung up in my Art Studio. They make the Studio look more like an Art Studio, which of course I really like. :)

I have had my grandson Saige in the studio the last week working on his own Art page.

He has never used glue before, so I got out the school glue, a large piece of watercolor paper and as many things as I could find or think of to let him use his imagination. Well, he used 1 and a half things of glue putting all the things he did on his work of art. And if you ask him he will tell you what it's all about.. The earth and the rivers and how it all goes in circles and the gold and so on.. It's so great spending the time with him and letting him just do what comes to his mind. I will have to add a pic of it next time as it's downloaded on my other computer.

I still don't understand how people get so many people following them on their blogs. I still have no one that is signed up to my blog. I know some read it, but no one ever comments or joins. So I guess I feel like this is more like a private journal than anything else..

I guess I'm just not as exciting as I used to be. lol
