Believe it or not I did write on Monday. I wrote a lot about when I was 12 and in 7th grade. It was my most painful year growing up. I learned alot about life that year and none of it good.
I poured my heart and soul into telling everything. Then when I was done, I hit the wrong button and lost all of it. Kind of hurt. I don't want to relive it all again, but I will.. Just not now.
Right now I am very busy getting ready for our annual Tyler BBQ, which is later today at 2pm.
The last two days have been a whirlwind of activity. I started planning a couple weeks ago. Grocery lists and sent out invites the beginning of May.
Then the last two days have been busy Shopping at several stores. Grocery shopping a lone took me an hour and a half last night. Then bringing it all home. Tim helped me unload. Then had to put it all away.. What a huge chore. Then today had to go to the dollar store for fun stuff for the kids to play with. Like plastic balls and bats, Frisbees, a sprinkler and shovels for the sand box.. Christal got water guns and they are bringing their kiddy pool too. We will also have a blow up jump house for them. And Tim has a wagon he hooks up to the lawnmower and gives the kids rides around the back yard. Then of course we have the golf cart to go for rides on too. :)
Oh the food you ask?? Well, I made up 10 lbs of hamburger into 34 hamburgers, and we have 7 boxes of hot chicken wings, 4 packages of Brauts of all different seasonings, and Hot dogs.
Then I also made up 5lbs of my Southern Potato salad, veggie trays (which Tim did for me) and i got chive and party dip for them. And Deviled eggs. Everyone else that comes will bring a side dish to add to all the food. Believe me there will be Plenty of food for everyone.
Plus plenty to drink. I got 3 cases of water bottles, 3 12 pks of pop in grape, orange and strawberry and 4 cases of fruit juice in Blue and Cherry. Then if the adults don't feel like pop or water, we will also have a 16 gallon Keg on tap.
The best part of the whole thing? We get an outhouse or kybo for the occassion. That way everyone can use the bathroom and nobody has to go in and out of our house. :)
Tim also got a big canapy that is like 10 ft x 20 ft to make shade in the back yard so everyone doesn't have to sit in the direct sunlight. That should help a lot because it's supposed to be in the 90's today.
Funny cause I always try to make our Family BBQ in June so it's not so hot out, so far that has NOT worked out for me once yet.. Might have to move it back to May..lol
Oh and to make it more fun, Nicole and Nate went out and bought another Karaoke Machine. So that means we will have some singing later in the night. :) Nicole and Tim and Dusty are the only ones that can sing in our immediate family (and Emma but she won't be here this year) but it's fun when Joel tries and anyone else who might want to try is welcome too. :) So that will be entertaining for sure. lol
Saige won't usually let me sing..lol.. He tells me either to stop or to sing very quietly.. lmao
Hopefully I will remember to take some pics to share later. Usually I get so busy taking care of things, talking and watching the kidlets that I forget to take pics. I am going to try real hard to remember this year though, cause the kids are getting bigger.
We are so lucky to have such a huge back yard for all of them to be able to run around in. :)
Well, I think that is about it til Later.. I slept for 3 hours already but of course need to get more before morning. It's going to be a long eventful day tomorrow.. I can't wait.. I love my family!!! :)
