This month has so much to offer. And it is a brand new beginning for a lot of people. That includes me, my grandson and his parents.
That is because Saige started Kindergarten this week!! I'm used to having him most of the week and half of it during the day and now I will always have him at 3:20pm when he gets out of school. Yesterday his dad was here to pick him up by 5:00 pm. So that was a short stay after school.
I was nervous about him starting school. Not because of him, because I figured he would really like it because he gets to learn new things and he gets to make new friends and he gets to be a big boy now. :)
I was worried about me. lol.. And what I was going to do with all the extra time that I used to spend with Saige. But so far it has been pretty good. I have more time to work on my housework and I have more time to work in my Art Studio too. :)
And This week Tim has been home a couple days and we have went shopping and gotten a few things we needed, like under clothes and stuff like that, and I picked up some cheap school supplies and we also went to the ReStore yesterday and got a nice big indoor/outdoor rug for the kitchen and a pretty Runner for in front of the sliding glass doors for the dogs to come in on. :)
Since I last wrote here, I have drawn and finished a Raccoon in a Tree. My friend named him Randy. :) I forgot to take the tape off the edges b4 I took the photo, but my husband is making a wood frame for him, so I will post him again after he is in the frame. After he is framed then I'm going to put him on the internet to sell.
Same with my giraffe Mommy and baby. I will post them both here again when they are framed.. but here they are now.. They are both 14x17 and 11x17.. I hope you like them :)
I can't wait to see them Framed!!!
Right now I'm doing just a fun little design type of drawing. I usually do one Serious one and then one fun one that is totally creative and no seriousness to it at all..lol
I'm not sure if I have posted any of those here or not. I will check and if I haven't I will.. I like them just as much as my serious drawings. Well, with the exception of the Fish one I did.. but hey, can't always turn out like you imagine..lol
We have 4 grandsons that started Kindegarten this year and one granddaughter that is start pre-start next week. That is amazing to me that they are all that old now.. :) Tinlee is only 1, so it will be a couple years b4 she gets to join her brothers.
I think all the parents (our kids) were happy and sad at the same time. Their babies are becoming big kids now. But it's a new and exciting adventure for everyone.. :)
Well, I have been learning Russian. I still don't have the complete Alphabet memorized but I'm working on it. I can say "Oh My God" in Russian. lol. And I can say Yes and No in Russian. That is about all I've learned in one week of studying but I think that is pretty good considering I'm still working on the alphabet and getting used to what sounds each letter makes in the alphabet. Not to mention I am 51 and I have NEVER learned another language in my life and can mess up English pretty good too...lol
Tomorrow is Maxx and Jett's 6th Birthday Party. Their dad is building them a tree house and it's almost done. Dusty suggested we get them curtains for the tree house.. So me and Tim went to Walmart and searched all over.. No kids curtains...So we went to K-mart and searched all over.. no kids curtains.. So now today is the party and I don't know what we are going to give them cause we have nothing.. :(
Usually I have this all taken care of weeks b4 their party but this year I was so busy with Saige getting ready for school and other things that it snuck up on me and I am not prepared. I don't know if Tim is going to go and still look for the curtains this morning or just go to Toys R Us and get them something from there... I have no clue and usually he doesn't buy the kids stuff.. so this could be interesting..lol
Well, think it's time to go.. it's only 4:30am and I will need a couple hours more sleep.. Hope you all have a Safe, Fun Weekend!!!!!
Until next time!!!
Aunita
